Double Trouble

Double Trouble
A temper tantrum photo for the Vintage Photos Theme Park.

A 1906 Bamforth postcard with a photo by Robert McCrum shows a not-so-dulcet duet of unhappy infants.

Erika Akire, arts enthusiast, corduroy cat, chris baker and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Congrats on finding a tantrum in your collection, Alan! A challenging theme.

Thanks very much, Lisa! This was definitely a difficult theme! I spent a week trying to figure out where I had placed this card (I was sure it was in a binder but I finally found it in a postcard box filed appropriately enough under "Humor - Children"), so hopefully it qualifies as an actual tantrum rather than just two kids crying. 8-)

Apart from "A Duet," I couldn't locate or recall any other pics I had that might show a tantrum. While I was searching for this card, however, I did come across another Bamforth real photo with a crying kid that I was going to use as a backup if I couldn't find this one:

your system for locating postcards/photos sounds far more organised than mine. I've been looking and racking my brain for which bundles and bags of snaps may have a tantrum photo. I found tears, but not 'tantrum tears', but I (finally) found something possibly showing temper (which might well lead to a tantrum).
A challenging theme, indeed.

Well, I'm afraid I made it sound like I'm more organized than I actually am--only a small portion of my collection is filed by subject. I feel just plain lucky to have found this one (and a not-so-good backup).

Poor babies!!!!!!! (and to reply to lisabee73....I share your struggles. My unscanned photos are just in some shoeboxes, and it's hard to find time to go through them every month).

I find myself spending more time than I should on some themes (like this one), but it's usually fun pouring through the photos (most of mine are unscanned, unfortunately).

Great photo, Alan! (But, yes, poor babies!)
This was a VERY hard theme - so impressed you had one!
I thought I had it nailed for a brief time - with a photo of my son literally caught with his foot in the air prior to stamping it down for a full blown tantrum - but then realized (duh!) it was fifteen years too late to qualify!
And noting else I had really fit the bill - even closely.
Oh, well - on to the next one!

Thanks, Deborah! It was just luck that I had this crying/temper tantrum photo and was able to find it!
