Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters!

Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters!
A photo for the Vintage Photos Theme Park showing how there's one in every crowd (a group of people posing with one silly/goofy person who throws the whole photo off, i.e.: sticking out tongue, bunny ears behind the head, etc.).

Oh, how nice! The carpenters and other workmen in this real photo postcard are posing with saws, hammers, and other tools to demonstrate how hard they've been working on the renovation of this house!

Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters! (Detail Left)

But wait a second! One guy is lying down on the job!

Thanks! Luckily, the antique dealer who sold this to me a few months ago was kind enough to point out the funny fellow in the gable as I pored through his box of real photo postcards! 8-)

Renovation seems to have been a bit more labour-intensive in those days.

I'll say! For one thing, it looks like they used some sort of cart to haul those heavy-looking bags that are lined up along the fence.
