Just enough DOF to make a great shot.

Wow. So fantastic, Pappy!

I've been researching macro lenses and I was pretty much decided on this one. How nice to see it in action here. I've read so many good things about it.

I thought you had gone to Sony but I see now that you are using a G-9. Yes, this macro lens is very good for macro work. It has three distance settings so it can be used as a regular 60mm and fairly close with good detail. This would be the last lens I part with.

I have both and I love them both too. I am so impressed with the 2 Olympus lenses that I got for my G9. And I'm going to be getting this lens this week. I understand it takes some practice with this lens. I really appreciate your input. :)

And I didn't see your PIPs until now. I just love the way you caught the light on that statue. So beautiful.

This is a really great macro! Such wonderful detail. What I really love is that I feel the emotion of this piece, the connection of hand to foot. The artist poured their passion into this work so clearly that it is easy to see and feel. I loved the insets too. It was so nice to see the whole sculpture which is totally breathtaking and yet, everything I expected from the intensity of what you shared in your macro. It is a piece to stare at intently and then to slowly work your way around to take in every nuance. This is what world-class sculpture is all about. Such a masterful work of art. Thank you very much for the opportunity to look so closely and be drawn into its magical spell.

Needless to say, an exceptional addition for today's project! *high five*

Quite a unique take for the challenge! I especially love how you used a shallow depth-of-field to spotlight the washing of the feet action. Is this made of bronze?

Impressive sculpture, and fine detail in your close up, accentuated by the interesting background bokeh. Great work!

A crackin' photo. Such impressive use of the shallow depth of field. An absolute fave for me.
