Inside the Tower Walls
McCaig's Tower, Oban

Built in 1897 by John Stuart McCaig , it provided work for local stonemasons and was intended to stand as a monument to his family. Unfortunately he died and it was never completed and it is now a public garden. It stands overlooking Oban, and is well worth a visit for the magnificent views.

Thank you Jaap. We have been to Oban many times but had never visited the tower before. It wasn't that easy to find but was well worth going.
