Lovely. There are so many islands off the West coast and so much to see.

Thank you Jean. I would love to do some more of the islands. We have been to Skye several times and also Mull, which I loved. I understand Iona is beautiful. We may be lucky enough to go there this summer, hopefully. Have a lovely weekend.

I'm going to stay on Mull this summer for the first time but I've been to Iona and Staffa. I hope you get to go. They are magical.

I am sure you will love Mull Jean. The first time we went across on a coach, but found we didn't see a lot apart from Tobermory, which I loved. We decided to take the car over on the ferry the next time to give us more time to look around.

Thank you very much Annemarie. It was one of those amazing days so typical of the weather in Scotland, - beautiful one minute and cloudy the next. Half an hour later glorious sunshine.
I couldn't believe how many cars they packed on to this ferry, - the last one on looks to be balanced at a very precarious angle.

Lovely shot, not sure I would want to be sat in car hanging over the edge

Thank you hon. No, nor me. Think I would feel sea-sick without moving perched up at that angle!

I like the way the car appears to be hanging off the side.

Hello Esther and many thanks. Yes we watched the ferry being loaded and I couldn't quite believe they were going to have room for it. I wouldn't t really fancy sitting at that angle for the trip, although I suppose it might not feel a uncomfortable as it looks.

I have stayed there years ago, then a little boat took us across. Ferry stopped at 5.30pm.....

A lovely island for a holiday....I hope you enjoyed your stay too!

Thank you Joan. We spent a lovely day in the area looking around Easdale and the Isle of Seil but unfortunately didn't get to go across to Luing island. It is a beautiful area though and I would love to go back there. It is so peaceful and relaxing isn't it? The problem is there are so many stunning places we would like to revisit in Scotland, but so many still to explore. Have a lovely week. Best wishes Carol

Nice picture and that is a rather strange looking ferry, with a car hanging over the side!
I spent a lot of time in different parts of Scotland whilst serving with the Royal Navy and always though that the country and the people were wonderful.

Thank you very much Colin. Yes Scotland is lovely and we have always found the people to be very friendly. I wouldn't like to be in the the last car stuck out at an angle on this ferry.

Very unusual ferry with the car strip running diagonally, across the vessel Carol.

Ecobird has replied to Colin
Thank you very much Colin. I thought it looked quite strange with the last car being up at an angle and it didn't look very safe, though I suppose it must be.
