Wow! What a treasure... 1890 illustrated post card of a local scene. Oldest Canadian "view" card and oldest Christmas postcard I've seen or heard of.

It's definitely an illustration, plausibly of the man's little cabin surrounded by snow, so I think I'd classify it as a homemade view-card.
