Looks like it might have been written with a quill pen. You don't often see that style of penmanship on postcards from the more usual 1900-1915 era. Times were changing very quickly.

The postcard club went to the old post office in Toronto a couple of weeks ago, and we got to try out quill-pen writing. So I now recognize the skill that went into this type of penmanship as my own quill pen efforts resembled the work of a very uncoordinated two-year old.
