I think those UFOs are called Lenticular clouds............but I think UFO clouds sound much more exciting!

Your main image is ideally suited to the portrait orientation in order to give prominence to that wonderful sky. I love the light and colours.

The PiP is really beautiful..........the wider view is gorgeous and gives us a much closer look at the mountains. The sky is also wonderful with gorgeous light and fantastic clouds.

Thanks a lot, Keith! The popular name in Germany for lenticularis clouds is UFO clouds;-) I loved the skies that afternoon though it was sometimes difficult walking the deck round the ship (especially under the bridge) because of the wind.

Thank you so much, Amelia! I did know the correct name but the other one is often used in Germany and it's more fun;-) I thought the wind not too bad, but yesterday another ship had to go through a force 12 storm in this area!

Herzlichen Dank, Udo! War ein bissle windig, aber nicht so schlimm. Gestern war Orkan mit 12 Bft dort oben und die Schiffe sind trotzdem gefahren, wenn auch nur noch mit 4 Knoten statt 16;-)
