Herzlichen Dank, Eva! Mir hat das ganze Bauwerk sehr gut gefallen. Renzo Piano hat ja auch noch gleich daneben das neue Stadttor entworfen, alles aus einem Guss. Obwohl es so modern ist, passt es zu den alten Gebäuden.

Toller Blickwinkel! Finde beide gut. Bei der farbigen Variante gefällt mir die gelb/blaue Kombination der Farben.

Danke, poly! Bei meinem ersten Besuch war in der Ecke auch noch alles abgesperrt. In Valletta hat sich die letzten Jahre einiges getan und speziell Parlament mit City Gate sind wirklich eindrucksvoll gelungen. Durch die Kalksteinfassade integriert sich das ins alte Stadtbild.

Herzlichen Dank, Frank! Ja, mit sw kommt die Architektur stärker raus. Beim Kontrast habe ich immer Hemmungen, sobald die Über- oder Unterbelichtungswarnung angeht, trau ich mich nicht mehr weiter....

Warum, Gudrun? Das Auge des Betrachters will verwöhnt werden. Bei bunten Bildern ist es die Farbe, bei s-w Fotos die Kontraste. - Du arbeitest doch auch mit LR, mach doch bei Bildern wie diesen mal zwei Varianten und exportiere die als JPG. Dann kannst gut vergleichen. - Das Ergebnis zählt.

Hast ja recht, diese Angst vor ausgefressenen Höhen und abgesoffenen Tiefen muss nicht sein....

Kommt ja auch ein wenig auf das Motiv und das Bild allgemein an. Wenn ich zum Beispiel eine schwarze Dampflok hab und man dann nichts mehr von den Leitungen und Bauteilen am Kessel zu sehen ist, weil alles dunkelschwarz ist, dann würde ich vielleicht auch komisch gucken. Es sei denn, es ist im Bild so gewollt.

So isses! Extreme Kontraste als Stilmittel, aber wenn man die Details zeigen will, dann lässt man's lieber:-)
