Mosta Rotunda

The Bażilika ta' Santa Marija in Mosta was built in the 19th century and is modelled on the Rome Pantheon. It boasts of one of the largest cupolas in the world. During WWIII a German bomb hit the rotunda but luckily for the 300 people in the church it failed to explode.
The interiour shots were made with Samyang 14mm f/2,8, the one in the second note is taken from the walls of Mdina and shows the size of the church.

Die Bażilika ta' Santa Marija in Mosta wurde im 19. Jh nach dem Vorbild des Pantheon in Rom erbaut und besitzt eine der größten Kuppeln der Welt. Im 2. Weltkrieg wurde die Rotunde von einer deutschen Fliegerbombe durchschlagen, die zum Glück für die 300 Kirchenbesucher nicht explodierte.
Die Innenaufnahmen sind mit Samyang 14mm f/2,8 gemacht, das 2, PiP ist von der Stadtmauer von Mdina aus aufgenommen und zeigt die Größe der Kirche.
