WOW, Imposant! Als ich in Island war, war sie gerade im Bau. Schön, jetzt fertige Bilder zu sehen!

Vielen Dank, Chrissy! Zum Glück hat der Bau die Finanzkrise überlebt und inzwischen ist wohl auch die Akzeptanz in der Bevölkerung da. Leider konnte man nicht in die Säle rein , die hätte ich gerne auch noch gesehen...

Tolle Architektur. Die Linienführung bringt ordentlich Tiefe ins Bild.

A very dramatic interior, Gudrun, and wonderful perspective here. I love the odd splash of colour too. It's great that one can see part of the outside through these amazing windows.

The facade is glass all around, artist Olafur Eliasson modelled it on the basalt columns that are so typical for Iceland. The colour scheme inside also recalls Icelandic nature- basalt, lava, ice, northern lights...
