Sometimes I feel rather like banging my head against a wall than merely shaking it. But I don't much like the results; besides it costs me a fortune in plasters and I end up looking awful. :-)

After all, if we don't keep our sanity and critical sense -not to mention a sense of proportion- "they" end up infusing a lot of rubbish into our poor beleaguered heads. I always keep in mind that thing one of the Founding Fathers said (Franklin, I think):
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.
(Which is a bit rich for someone who kept slaves, but there you have it. O tempora! O mores!...:-) )

The plane really is a missed opportunity: it could easily have been transformed into a giant dick. And Air Force One.
