Geez, I thought I was the only person on earth who is disgusted by Valentine's days, Halloweens and whatnot. I'm waiting for the independence day of every nation to be standardized to 4th of July.

We just run the australian miniseries of the History of the Eurovision song contest here in Finland. According to it the contest was deviced in the US as means to cause havoc in the eastern block. Innocence is ripped off of all fun and merry that ever was. End of childhood!

Well, now we both know we're not alone dear one. Keep an eye on this "space" on Friday.
As for the Eurovision contest, my favourite theory* is that it was a dastardly US plot indeed, part of that other US concoction, the European Union, which in turn was just a continuation of the infamous Marshall Plan by other means. There!
* Not all conspiracies are theories.
