Tournus - Saint-Valérien

Tournus not only offers the wonderful Saint-Philibert. Just around the corner is the small romanesque eglise Saint-Valérien (12th c.). Before monks from Normoutier came to Tournus bringing the relics of St. Philibert, the abbey in Tournus was dedicated to the martyr Saint Valérien. The church was part of the abbey. Later a parish church it is now an antique shop.
