A stunning shot of the sun coming through the morning mists, with just a hint of the mountain itself. What a marvellous experience, I can imagine the excitement levels when you took this.

That,s quite a climb....how did you go for breath? I have been a number of times over 5000 meters and the air is pretty thin!!! You obviously summitted...well done you!

I have a regime of counting breaths in time with steps...it seems to work!

Hats off to you for making this climb and having the strength left to take photos as well! I'm at that age when the further from the car a subject is, the less photogenic it becomes :)

This is such a striking shot...........moody, surreal and a touch threatening. You should have this made into a large canvas and hang it on a wall!!

Thanks to you all for your kind and generous comments. Yes, I did make it to the summit...rumour has it smokers do better at altitude than non-smokers due to being used to oxygen deprivation...get yourselves a 20-a-day habit like me and the sky's the limit! ;-)

Another look at this gorgeous shot. That's an awful lot of smoke from one ciggie. Are you sure it wasn't a cigar or even a pipe??
