Thank you Marie-claire B&W is right for the era !!!!!
I don't see much point in the present fad for B&W photos we did that because that was all there was, I don't see the point of something like a B&W landscape, and I don't think digital B&W is the same as film.

i feel we could have a whole discussion around your comment, but for short(ish) i agree that digital b&w isn't the same as film. and i can't take a b&w landscape worth beans, but i do see the point of it - take for example some of Ansel Adams photos. i wish i could do what he does in b&w with a landscape (though he did color also). i'm messaging you a couple example links (i can't remember at the moment how to put them here in the comment.

I have a photo similar to this Peter. It was the first prize in a baby show....don't know what's happened since! Very nice knitted outfit!
