The Sunday Challenge: Song sung by Elvis P. - Solitaire
Challenge for this week was Elvis Presly Songs.
With so many songs that Elvis recorded we should all be able to take a photograph this week to accompany it.
See this link for a list of Elvis songs: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_recorded_by_Elvis_Presley.
From this list I chose the beautiful song 'Solitaire'. Solitaire is also a board game for one person. The game starts with a board filled all but one hole with marbles or pegs. Its purpose is to end with only one marble by jumping over and removing the marble which has been jumped over. The photo shows a possible outcome.
The track 'Solitaire' is mostly known in its versions by Neil Sedaka or The Carpenters. In 1976 it was also recorded by Elvis. In 1983 it was recorded by the Dutch singer Patricia Paay, the last two lines are a little different from the original. www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6ofPKzrNg0
Lyrics can be found here: www.top40.nl/patricia-paay/patricia-paay-solitaire_11633#songtekst
