Koya-san 高野山

Koya-san 高野山
Mount Koya (高野山 Koya-san) in Wakayama Prefecture (和歌山県),First settled in 819 by the monk Kūkai, Mt. Kōya is primarily known as the world headquarters of the Kōyasan Shingon sect of Japanese Buddhism

Fukuchi-in is a "shukubo" or Buddhist Temple (of ryokan styles) for guests who wish to stay on Mount Koya. This large, beautiful temple has Japanese-style rooms and both indoor and outdoor baths for the guests. Fukuchi-in serves "shojin" cuisine which is traditional Buddhist vegetarian cuisine.

I have a young Spanish student of English where Japanese is her second language, She loved everything about Japan and resolved to lean the language when she was 10, as she explained to me. She duly achieved this remarkable (to me) feat over a 10 year period, including study course in Tokyo, and is now in demand in Madrid for translations and interpreting work. As she wants to translate between English, Spanish and Japanese and help with conference calls, etc, she wants me to help her improve her English. She has a natural flair for learning languages and won't find upping her English level a problem at all.
Oh! And a beautiful shot!
