Tiki Huts and New Friends [Explore]

On a day between showers, I went to visit the top of our ridge because I felt the magic in the air coming from there...I might just find some mushroom fairies! When I got to the top, I paused to listen as I looked around, and heard the tiny tinkle of laughter. Turning to see, I found these two mushrooms, which looked like little tiki huts! Smiling warmly at them, they approached as near as they dared, and one of them presented me with a strand of grass as a gesture of goodwill and friendship. As I took the grass and glowed with happiness, I heard him say,

"The best mirror is a friend’s eye." ~ Unknown

With that, they turned and disappeared back into the trees. I stood and relished the feeling of acceptance I got from these secretive people as I stared at the tiny strand of grass in the palm of my hand. How lucky I am! :)
