These were friends, but not close friends. Bobby and Maryann are in the front, followed by their double exposured, ghostly friends, Bill and Joanne.
Joanne was in my junior English class, where we annoyed the teacher by chewing gum and talking.
I remember her telling me that she and her boyfriend, Bill, had just seen Abbie Hoffman speak on the New Haven Green - and that Abbie Hoffman was Bill's idol.
This is the Wilbur Cross High School Prom of June, 1972. New Haven, Connecticut.

Thanks, Rick! I had sort of forgotten about it, so it was fun to re-look at it with the theme in mind.
Yes, I did take this - with an Instamatic camera - although I'm not sure how I got a double exposure with that type of camera. I thought they locked after the shot.
This was taken at the restaurant where the prom was held, so sadly not in the halls of Wilbur Cross - but at this distance of time, the photograph is still "haunting". : )
