Filippine von Edelsberg by Delabarre

Filippine von Edelsberg (1835- ?); Austrian mezzo-soprano.
She made her debut in the season 1857/58 at the Opera of Bratislava. In the following years she was engaged at Graz, Linz and from 1862 until 1865 at Munich. From 1865 until 1867 she was engaged by the Berliner Hofoper. From then on she only made guest appearances (Köln, Leipzig, Prague, Hamburg, London, Riga, Vienna, Brussels, Paris, Milan, New Orleans etc.). She was also a highly esteemed concert singer.
