Amalie Boni-Bartel (1831- ?); Transylvanian soprano.
She made her debut in 1852 at Sibiu (located in present-day Romania). In 1855 she made a succesful guest appareance at Leipzig and was engaged there for 2 years. In 1857 she went to the German Opera in Amsterdam and in 1858 to Hamburg. During the season 1859/60 she was at Nürnberg. In 1860 until 1872 she was the leading soprano of the “Hoftheater von Karlsruhe” as the successor of the famous Malvina (Garrigues) Schnorr von Carolsfeld.
Highlights in her repertoire were Pamina in “Der Zauberflöte”, Donna Anna in “Don Giovanni”, Agathe in “Der Freischütz”, Bertha in “Der Prophet”, Rachel in “La Juive” and Elsa in “Lohengrin”.
