Unusual perspective. Reminds me of that time you ticked me off about my Meadow Building.

? (The verticals in this shot aren't converging).

You like buildings positioned high in the frame with little sky above and a lot of foreground. Is there no pleasing you?

Not always. Plenty of sky in this one.

I think Roy might be upsetting the Liberals.

Roy says, what were you doing there anyway. Are you a D fan?

I was on an organised walk from Holland Park to St Pauls which went via Kensington Gardens. We stopped briefly outside Kensington Palace.

No, I wasn't a D fan. I think C (though having met her, albeit over 50 years ago, I may be slightly biased) is far more worthy of the title of Princess of Wales than D was, C being prepared to place duty and loyalty above personal happiness, and responsible and mature enough to keep her mouth shut.

Unconnected with that, there is something false about this picture which has gone completely unnoticed.

Never having been there, I don't know what it's supposed to look like.
Are you telling me you imported the flowerbed from Highgrove?
Or does it have something to do with that slightly fuzzy corner on the right?

How did you come to meet C in your youth? I guess she didn't fancy living in Ealing.

No. That's genuine. It's the grass, which in reality (depressingly) was brown, not green.

The corner appears to be fuzzy only because between it and the camera is a tall, fine-stemmed shrub.

I didn't propose to C (who in those days was plain Camilla Shand, and is older than me) so that was never put to the test. I could ask her now, but it's somewhat unlikely that she'll remember ME. When young she was a customer of Lilo Blum's famous riding stables near Hyde Park.

So did you actually speak, or was it just a passing affair?

Howard Somerville club has replied to Isisbridge club
Yes, we did, more than once, but there was no romantic interest whatever, and she's unlikely to have remembered me even months (less still 50+ years) later. I can't remember what we talked about but it would have been no more than brief and inconsequential chit-chat. She had a smoker's cough which was unattractive but she was friendly, unassuming and genuinely likeable. Lilo Blum's (surprisingly) was open to all comers and wasn't prohibitively expensive. C then lived near Knightsbridge, not far away.

I'm most impressed. I've never had a problem with her becoming queen,
but Charles worries me because of his climate fanaticism and links with the WEF.
