Das Altiplano ist eine abflusslose Hochebene in Südost-Peru und West-Bolivien zwischen den Hochgebirgsketten der West- und der Ost-Anden.
Das Klima des Altiplano ist kalt und semiarid bis arid. Die jährlichen Durchschnittstemperaturen schwanken zwischen 2 °C in höheren, wasserlosen Gebieten und etwa 10 °C am Titicacasee.

Yes, the Altiplano is a fascinating landscape, especially for the photographer. Unfortunately, I have never been to Tibet.

Yes, I believe this land is beautiful in sight but difficult to live. In Bolivia many people leave it because of climate change and move to the poverty in the outskirts of the capital. It's rather shocking that El Alto is now the 2nd populous city in the country.
