Das Klima des Altiplano ist kalt und semiarid bis arid. Die jährlichen Durchschnittstemperaturen schwanken zwischen 2 °C in höheren, wasserlosen Gebieten und etwa 10 °C am Titicacasee.

Yes, I believe this land is beautiful in sight but difficult to live. In Bolivia many people leave it because of climate change and move to the poverty in the outskirts of the capital. It's rather shocking that El Alto is now the 2nd populous city in the country. Found an older article about it www.theguardian.com/global-development/poverty-matters/2011/apr/12/bolivia-crop-failure-climate-change
