La luce della vetrina e quella del lampione, correttamente esposte, illuminano quasi a giorno questo minuscolo angolo di paese. Solo la panchina, carica di neve, resta in penombra in primo piano. E' un delizioso quadretto invernale, in cui balzano subito agli occhi i colori degli oggetti in vendita nella vetrina, in cui secondo me la vera protagonista è l'assenza umana.
Si avverte, infatti, la mancanza di passanti curiosi vicino al negozio e anche la materiale impossibilità, causa la neve, di sedersi sulla panchina; rafforza inoltre questa sensazione il portone chiuso e le finestre buie,
Ma è una assenza che non ci turba, prevale infatti anche in questa immagine un senso di quiete e di silenzio.
Una composizione essenziale nei suoi elementi ma molto descrittiva e efficace.

I love the composition, the warm glow on the snow, some of it having turned to ice, the worn paintwork and the contrasting colourful and interesting shop. On full screen this little shop full of delights reminds me of the bookshelf models that you can purchase to build and to make all the little bits and pieces that make up the scene, be it a shop, library, detective agency etc. They are small but look so nice between books and even light up beautifully, which is probably what made me think of them when I saw your beautiful image
