Hello Gudrun, this picture was taken from a boat sailing n a fiord not far from Ilulissat. The weather was terrible and we had some problems with some icebergs surrounding the boat.Actually we went on board not at Ilulissat , but a bit farther.

"Swound" is an archaic word meaning "swoon". Coleridge enjoyed used words like this in his ballad to give his poem a medieval flavour....end of the lesson, sorry! :)

Caro Andrea, è vero...più cielo avrebbe giovato all'immagine, ho provato e il risultato è migliore, grazie per il suggerimento! Non posso essere non essere d'accordo con te sulle previsioni sul clima, visto l'andazzo Trump. Sono ben felice di avere visto dei luoghi che per motivi vari sarà difficile rivedere o preservare. Infine, viva il Grande Nord ...i mie viaggi più belli, quelli che mi hanno profondamente cambiato sono stati decisamente quelli in Islanda ed in Norvegia.
