Oh, i remember the nights in the end of '80 and in the '90 and some later, but not the lasts , the races I saw. I loved them . Stars and Stripes, New Zealand, Azzurra, Il Moro di Venezia, Alingi. Then they changed and I did not like it any more.

Yes there were some great matches over the years that conventional displacement hulls were used. Remember the winged keels that developed.

I must admit that I like the state of the art cats and the terrific speeds that they can achieve, it is hair raising stuff.

I first thougt this was a samovar and it´s teatime :)))

My goodness, what a size that cup is. Where on earth would one put it? I don't like cups - having won the photography cup for 4 years in a row at the local village show. At least it fits in a cupboard. ;-)))

I suspect that the America's cup is usually kept firmly under lock and key.
