This is today's effort which I think is better than yesterday's. What do you think?

Both are pleasing, Nick but this has the advantage of the cute ducks ideally positioned!

Both are nice, Nick, but this here with the young ducks is so lovely. Why are there fallen threes ?

Hi Dani, this tree was blown over during one of the big storms that we suffer every now and then. As luck would have it, it was tall enough, (now long enough) to span the lake at this point.
The lake was formed by a weir across the river down stream to the left of this shot

Hi Marek ~ Thank you ~ I agree with your opinion . The truth of the latter is that I had uploaded the original shot by mistake (my eyesight is not what it was) and by the time I had noticed it already has two nice comments under it. So I decided to upload the one that I thought best and see what others felt.
Thanks for your kind visit Marek and your good wishes ~ In turn, I wish you a fine weekend and stay safe

Both beautiful images. I love the reflections in them Nick. The little ducks taking full advantage made me smile. A delightful image
