A brief flash of sunlight before the heavens opened.

A brief flash of sunlight before the heavens opened.
Algete, from my sister's home. Madrid Province. Strangely enough no thunder and lightning!

Great capture of the menacing colour in the sky and the approaching storm Andy.

Oh, wow! That's definitely a "click and take cover" moment..!! The light is amazing and I've never seen anything like it.

I've just seen some videos of the flooding in Spain and it was horrendous. I do hope no-one was hurt known to you. I watched one part where it was a long view of a valley (near Alicante I think) and there was a huge dark cloud, which just opened and you actually saw the water coming out of the cloud as if from a bucket - and it bounced on the land and splashed up - simply in awe, seeing that. That was the biggest cloud burst I've ever seen.

This picture of yours is amazing, the colour of the sky is just so ominous, wonderful photo.

Madrid only got the tail end of the worst of it but even so, scenes like this were common for a week or two!

What might be called a "pregnant" sky. If only the Heavens were to open here, now.

Yes, we're desperate for lashings of the wet stuff!
