My sophisticated planning for tonight's three uploads!

My sophisticated planning for tonight's three uploads!
I have two styles of handwriting; Calligraphic, used for baby albums, wedding invites, wedding table placings, etc, which was a secondary source of income at one time ...
and this - nigh on illegible - which is now 100% of my writing style!!

micritter, Beatrice Degan(MARS), , Erhard Bernstein and 5 other people have particularly liked this photo

LOL !!

I was a Calligrapher and Illuminator in an amateur way ... but did al lot of stuff for folk. Then wrist/thumb joints were replaced in both hands. In itself.. great.. but they messed up my right radial nerve so now some days I cant even feel/hold a pen let alone write ! I do most things ok left handed.. but not writing well and holding a pen or a brush in my right hand is a comic relief joke. I miss the Illuminating and gold leafing.

What I gained to vent the creative mess that was left was I taught myself digital graphics.. it saved my soul really.

I look at my writing now.. and it frustrates the fire out of me

Sorry, Pam. I replied yesterday but it has vanished. Oh well, it happens!
Was just saying how I sympathise with you but pleased you got into digital graphics. Something for me to look into one day!
I stopped about 25 years ago because I didn't have the time on top of my proper job! I wan't good enough to go full time and it didn't pay. But yes, I enjoyed the fiddly stuff with gold leaf (don't breathe!!!), gesso, etc.

I used to get slated for my writing at school and as I was bolshie it only got worse. Later when I was adult I lost interest and then began to get complimented on my "beautiful handwriting ,"

I'm just impressed that anyone "plans" their uploads :-))

Not really 'planning' - it's just that my memory is so bad that by the time I have looked in my archives after having hopefully selected a recent shot, I forget which photos I have selected among the many 1,000s so I have to make a brief note of the location / type of photo and in which of my many files and folders it is and whether it is in the cloud, on my external hard drive, on my laptop, etc etc!. My lack of organisational ability means I have to be very organised to get anywhere, if you see what I mean!
You too, Keith, have a good weekend!

Well Andy.. I must say that even my Doc writes in a more intelligible way!!....:-)))

from now on I will be considering you as a true talented cryptographic expert!

Only two people have writing worse than me, Bea; my doctor in the UK and my accountant in the UK!
In both cases it was pretty important for me to know what they had written. I always used to have to ask my accountant to translate for me - he always wrote handwritten notes about everything and I wished he didn't!

Haha, you have never seen my "handwriting", it's at least as illegible as yours;-)
For organizing uploads I have one folder on my notebook called Ipernity, organized into subfolders by subject. All photos I might upload get resized to a small size (usually 1600 on the long side) and saved into that folder. Whenever I upload a photo I just move it to the subfolder "uploaded". My originals I keep on external hard disk(s).

Well, at least my photos are organised by subject, usually place and date. My problem has been that whenever Picasa thinks I've loaded too much its way, it regurgitates some of it back into my computer in what it thinks is a logical place or places but which ceased to be logical years ago! So that is why I have them all over the place. At least I do know where they all are!!

That's why I hate Picasa for organizing photos;-) I just do it myself instead...

... as long as it is legible to you. I frequently can't read my own handwriting nowadays.
