Meeting of styles.

Meeting of styles.
As an English teacher and interested generally in such things, I am always amused at the predominant use of English (OK, American English), rather that the vernacular. To my mind it would have given greater authenticity and authority if it had been in Spanish.

This has puzzled me for a long time, too, Andy. And if you want to use another language to talk about style, why not French?

Why not indeed!
To me, a beautifully expressive French voice is one of the joys of life!

It never even occurred to me that English was being used in Spanish graffiti............and to be honest the writing style of these artists is mostly unreadable (to me anyway), so I'm not sure it matters :-)

The artwork however, is just fantastic - obviously well planned out and meticulously executed!

Nicely captured Andy.

Perhaps one of our French friends might like to comment on whether English or French predominates in French graffiti!

Rosa, look at my title. Then look at the calligraphy. It's actually very clear once you 'see' it!
I do agree though that most of the rubbish graffiti you see is as illegible as my handwriting!

It's the same in Germany, but not everyone knows English well. We had a (Turkish) hairdresser in our street who offered haircuts for gent's and ladie's....ouch!
