Time to upload an image with an architectural content again. Lots of pictures are taken of this landmark. I felt that a little high key / hdr editing was fitting. The Oslo Opera House has been a tourist magnet since it was opened in 2008. One can walk any where on the roof and enjoy great views. It is the home of The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, and the national opera theatre in Norway. The building is situated near central Oslo, at the head of the Oslofjord. The angled exterior surfaces of the building are covered with Italian marble and white granite and make it appear to rise from the water. It is the largest cultural building constructed in Norway since Nidarosdomen was completed circa 1300.

Of course, as a tourist in Oslo, I had to visit the Opera House. Luckily there were fewer people in the day I went. It's a rather splendid construction which resembles a ski slope (or an iceberg) from further away.
