Enfants du Mékong

Région de Kampong Cham - Sur le bordsd’une route qui longe un bras du Mékong, je me suis arrêté pour acheter un bouteille d’eau dans l’une des nombreuses gargotes qui vendent de tout : eau, bière, soda, soupe de chien ou de poisson pêché à proximité, voire des poignées d’insectes pour les connaisseurs. Quand la commerçante, maman des deux enfants, a vu mon appareil photo, elle m’a demandé d’immortaliser ses bambins sur ma carte mémoire. Sitôt dit, sitôt fait. A l'heure qu'il est, elle a déjà reçu la photo sur son smartphone. Celui avec lequel la petite fille joue.

Oui, ici, comme au vietnam et dans tout le Sud-Est asiatique, le chien est un met de choix. grillé ou en soupe. Mais devant la pression des Occidentaux (notamment les touristes), on n'en fait plus trop a publicité dans les sites touristique. Mais ce n'est pas pour ça que la consommation de chien est en régression. LA semaine dernière, j'en ai vu un tourner à la broche sur un marché de campagne. Je n'ai pas eu le courage de faire une photo, moi qui adore les chiens... Mais surtout pas dans mon assiette. Je sais que j'en ai mangé il y a 20 ans au Vietnam. Mais mes hôtes me l'ont dit après. A voir mat tête, il ont bien rigolé. Moi, pas trop. La bonne blague :(
