That dog speaks to us about loneliness and indifferenxe. The b/w well underlines the cages and I particulary appreciated the magnificient care of the exposure.

I am transfixed. What a fascinating image, Jean-luc. Your story is captivating. The picture begs for more to see...I am so interested to see this shop and the people at work there. It's so different than any butcher shop I have ever seen. Doggie looks hopeful but not at ease. He seems like he's used to this place and on guard...perhaps he must always worry about aggression towards him...but perhaps that's why he's still alive.

Your picture is one that makes me stop and think about the plight of homeless animals. How prevalent they are in places like Dehli. I prefer not to think too hard because it hurts too much. I feel too much so I must avert my eyes. :(

Thank you for another amazing image to stare at. Each is a story. Each must be carefully studied and contemplated. It is a favorite type of photography to me and so, when I can, I try to take pictures that tell stories too. The successes are complete memories for us because we, as the photographer, are instantly there at the time we took the picture. It is an incredible thing, isn't it?

I will enjoy visiting your pictures and appreciating them one by one...not too many at once because it's like going into a museum with a million masterpieces...when you fill up, you cannot see anymore. :D

(Funny memory that comes to mind for some reason...my ex and I went to the Chicago Museum of Art and in their basement floor they had an exhibit of doll houses. Intricate, detailed, complete to the last....and they had perhaps 100? I don't know. I was so blown away at the perfection of detail, the oh-so-tiny, perfectly-scaled people, furniture, knick-knacks...and I stared in wonder, completely amazed. When I was done appreciating the first one, I moved on to the second one... I lasted for about 5 houses before my eyeballs were spinning in their sockets and I was so exhausted that it was a really good thing the museum was closing because I was FULL! LOL... But I learned a lesson there. One must not spend too much time appreciating artwork at once because when you lose your sharpness of attention, you miss the entirety of the piece, and what a shame that is. SO...I won't look at too many of your pictures at one time because I want to appreciate all the details, just as you would hope every viewer would do. :)

I am going to peek into your Delhi folder to see if I can find any more of Doggie! :)
