A NEW EXPERIENCE fot The Sunday Challenge

A NEW EXPERIENCE fot The Sunday Challenge
Well... my new experience this week was to use the new water boiler I have just bought, the old one was leaking so I had to replace it.
In those sad times I decided to treat myself for this bright, shining and even musical one!

PhLB - Luc Boonen, aNNa schramm, Bergfex, Paulo Moreira and 20 other people have particularly liked this photo

Expensive I know. I wanted one with selective temperatures and there where very few, all above 128€... and the cheapest one (the 128€ kettle) was looking like a cheap one you feel like hiding. The truth is that in my country we have little choice: very cheap (poor quality stuff that is not made to last) or the other end, almost nothing in between. And most of what you can find online has the nasty little phrase assorted: "we cannot deliver to your country".
Hope you will find a better choice, or if you are like me... I buy very few but always best to last.

!!!! We are connected in more ways than one! My sister just last month bought one of these in white for my mother (she has a friend who was getting rid of it! only to my mom's benefit). It kind of goes with my mother's 60 year old refrigerator. I'll see if I can get a photo of that to share. But how great you have a red one! I don't know if hers has the musical feature - now I will try it.

Now to your photo - the touch of the red mask makes this really cool. I'm always impressed by people who can set up a photo like this. The strength of the head on setup adds to the solidness of the kettle itself. I find the photo delightful. (and love that I can sneak a bit of a look at you and the rest of your space in dark reflection on the kettle)

One of the first things I learnt over 50 years ago about composing a photo was try to include two plans in order that one enhances the other...and use wide apertures. I always shoot manual, even for focusing. Just don´t on street photography... but that is something I almost never practice.
There are two options on the Smeg kettles: with or without temperature selector. Mine is with, as for tea the temperature to use depends on the blend. I had an old refrigerator from the 50's, I even had it painted with epoxy and yellow pigment, but it passed away last year (I had it in my other house uphills). Believe me I was very said.
