Salmon cakes

Salmon cakes
Tonight's dinner. When I try cooking something new, and from scratch, that makes my tiny kitchen a huge mess, you know I'm bored at an entirely new level. This is canned wild Alaskan salmon of good quality. I wouldn't waste fresh salmon this way.

We’re all exploring new levels of boredom. I hate those people that are finding lots of things to do and adapting. I recommend apathy...no, apathy and lethargy, and boredom. Stay in bed, pull the sheets up over your head. There’s no need to live dangerously by cooking this kind of dish.

It is, indeed, dangerous. All of that snapping and spitting of cooking oil. Same as with bacon, but I'd rather have bacon. Steve, make no mistake, I am NOT finding things to do, nor am I going scrub-a-dub-dub around my house. I agree with your blanket over the head technique, everything's too depressing to do otherwise. Try living alone through this.

Do I really exist? Should I be calling people? I don't know.

For the first time in my life I’ve deliberately had days when I’ve not listened to any news. I feel better for it.

I have had many, many days like that since Trump was elected. I'm used to carefully curating the news I am exposed to. It keeps me somewhat sane.

I love Salmon but it really is expensive here and even more so since lockdown. that looks really tasty add some lemon slices, it certainly would not be wasted.

I had canned salmon for about a year, it worked fairly well, but I wouldn't say it was fabulous. I used lemon juice to brighten it up, as I never happen to have a lemon on hand.

It was a staple at my house, too, but Mom made salmon loaf, rather than patties.

I don't know why, but there's a joke that comes to my mind I heard the other day:

Donald Trump makes an information visit to Israel. During a journey through Jerusalem he suffers a heart attack and dies. The undertaker tells the American diplomats accompanying him:
"You can have him sent home for $50'000, or you can bury him here in the Holy Land for only $100."

The American diplomats go into a corner to discuss for a few minutes. They return with their reply to the undertaker and tell him that Donald Trump should be sent home.
The undertaker is confused and asks: "Why would you spend $50'000 to send him home when it would be wonderful to be buried here and you'd only spend $100?"

The American diplomats reply: "Long ago a man died here, was buried here, and three days later he rose from the dead. We simply cannot take the risk."
