We can learn much from dogs. Patience, being more easily entertained by simple things. I like their ethic.

A sweet series, Diane.

Formerly, I had a very clever dog , the first time I threw a stick i he brought it back to me. When I threw the stick a second time, my dog looked at me while he sat down. His gaze said clearly : since you obviously don't like this stick, there's really no reason to bring it back.
Tibetan mastiffs are dogs that don't put in unnecessary effort :-)

Hahaha! A well-know trait of many mastiff breeds, as well as others such as Akitas and Malamutes. The non-people-pleasing ones - after all, they are supposed to have real jobs! I am impressed that you had a Tibetan mastiff, Sylvain.

I often wonder just what a dog sees in a stick. But whatever it is I'm glad it does!

Maybe an evolutionary teeth cleaning and sharpening technique? I can't think of any other animal that does it, except humans certain regions of Africa. ;-b
Thank you, Andy!

Same here. Sticks never soften enough no matter how long you steam them.

What about sticks of rhubarb? Still sticks but your dog might nor welcome the change!
And they steam well!

I would steal them for pie, though.
