From Morocco, bought in Senegal. Wealthy Berber women have coral and turquoise cabochon gems in their bracelets, though that jewelry is quite old and rare. Others have this common faceted glass version. This one was made to have coins hanging from the coiled loops between the jewels. The quality of workmanship is mediocre, which made it affordable.
