I know these school busses. The students of the American Army Members where brought daily to different schools, High Schools and a University. (Area Stuttgart) for example:

These schools/University are German schools now (after 1990)

Yes, above all they are school buses. But, if it's painted in strange colors and designs - something other than all-yellow - it's a Woodstock bus! (Not really, but I associate it with that place.) Thanks very much, Rapi!

Yes, they're amazingly wide, quite livable, although this looks like a short model. Many people have converted them into campers since the 1960s, and now what's called a tiny home. ;-)
