How to open a can
That is not my hand. I stole it from the internet.

A very well put together shot. I wish they would have more ring-pulls in Spain. I have destroyed countless can-openers and knives. I learnt only recently that Spanish can-openers are different to the ones I kept bringing over from England on every trip!

I sort of like them. I am very curious about "different" Spanish can openers. That would mean that the cans are sealed differently, I suppose.

Thank you, Andy!

Well, the lip is much deeper which means ordinary British can openers don't get any kind of purchase. The Spanish ones that I have seen for the first time don't have a turning key or gear piece. You just stick the long pointy end in to the can edge and make a kind of sawing action. Very rough and ready but it is the only thing that works!

Well, that explains the jokes I saw when doing an image search for "Spanish can openers:"

Great editing! Funny that you have instructions how to open a can.... We do have ever more ring pulls and sometimes the ring comes off before the tin is open-grrrr Then a tin opener is mandatory:-) We now have the sort where you can take off the top of the tin afterwards and don't have any jagged edges.

Danke! I'm amused by instructions for simple things like that. The can is from Italy (coffee). I've seen that opener you mention advertized, but have never used one.

So now I know how to do it.
I've been eating fresh food for years.
Now that can all change.
I'm so happy!
