But I see this was Crimbo and my language was obviously Port or Sloe Gin influenced so I apologise and say that it's nearly half way to next Christmas and you have the 4th of July, the horror that is Halloween and Thanksgiving to enjoy before our next one (Christmas). Have a good day!!!! :o)

Sorry, O Puzzled One.
Crimbo; long established, but still naff, slang name for Christmas.
Eve of Kings; in British English; 12th Night. In Spain it's when the kiddies get their Crimbo Prezzies. The night of the Fifth of January if still unclear! :o)
It makes the whole Crimbo period a very long holiday season and is hated by teachers such as me who are only paid by the hour. GRRRR. And Bah Humbug!!!!

Crimbo is certainly nicer than X-mas, our abbreviation for Christmas for the crass and unwashed. Oh, Eve of Kings = Christmas Eve. Some families open gifts then, some Christmas morning. When a couple gets married, that's one thing they have to negotiate, so one ends up unhappy. I'm all for getting the chaos out of the way on the eve. I am a lousy morning person.
