I don't know who Tater is, but he obviously plays baseball.
In back of Kiger Stadium, built 1947 and still in use by the local baseball team, the Gems. (One thing grown around here is a potato variety called Gems. Another is Russet, but that doesn't sound like a baseball team, does it?) To be accurate in the local vernacular, they would use "Spud Welcomes You", not Tater. My father played baseball at this stadium in the late 1940s.
