M is for Mallard

During my training I have lived some time in Aachen. My apartment there was very close to the zoo, so I've always made my evening walks (thanks to an annual pass) by the zoo. The Mallards became good friends of mine. I really miss the proximity to the zoo.

Such a darling duckie!! I love the sweet expression in its eye, they are such friendly birds. We get pairs of them visiting our seasonal pond every year, but nobody ever stays to raise a family because the pond is too small and our road goes right past it. No seclusion.

Very nice choice for M!! In fact...well...wait for Q and you will see! I just love this cute duck. Nice details and I like the beautiful green around its eye too. Lovely. WELL DONE POD SISTER!! :)

Ein wunderschönes Porträt und ich verstehe sehr gut, dass die Tiere dir fehlen. Würde mir genau so gehen. Ich habe als Kind immer in Dörfern gewohnt und habe mich fast täglich auf Bauernhöfen herum getrieben. Die Tiere zogen mich magisch an :-)
