Gleanariff - Queen of the Glens.

Gleanariff - Queen of the Glens.
Another day of exploring Northern Ireland brings us to this glen (valley). It is one of the nine Antrim Glens that cover over 1000 hectares of planted woodland, lakes and rivers. You can see from this view that we are not far away from the coast but quite a different feel here. A rocky gorge is the highlight of this trip with some beautiful waterfalls and timber walkways surrounded by mosses, liverworts and ferns. A sample of one of the waterfalls in the PiP.

Have a good day.

I loved this light too and in fact have a nice capture of those escarpments which I might post one day. A good place to walk and explore. We explored this coastline after visiting here.

Before reading your notes I thought it was Scotland Herb. A very beautiful view and of course, beautifully captured.
Cheers, Rosa.

Yes, its Northern Ireland and who would have guessed that it was so beautiful up there. Maybe the many years of 'The Troubles' had brain washed us all in thinking it was quite something else. Anyway great that you enjoyed it. Another form near here tomorrow.

A brilliant capture and view Herb;.. the rickety looking walkway appears fascinating to explore.. // Good wishes to you from Dj.
