A quick whizz through the Isle of Arran brought us via the ferry from ‘The Mull of Kintyre’ back to the village of Lochranza, home of this castle and it’s even more famous ‘Arran Whisky’ distillery. This five minute stop on our way to our next ship at Brodick lacks the nice light on our previous visit but gave us the opportunity if we wanted it, for a rest on these seats. It looks like the castle is having some work done on it now. See Pip for 2017 version

I couldn't see the castle until I enlarged your picture Herb. It looks very different to the one you took in 2017. Of course, the weather helps. It looks a nice place to rest and I like your main shot...it looks very atmospheric.

Love this one Herb and brings back a great memory for me when I was walking left out of picture on the opposite side eventually clambering over large rocks at the shore I came face to face with an Otter just coming out of the sea. The first time I had seen a wild Otter (1988)

Wow how lucky to see an otter in this way. I had heard that there were many otters around the island but we never saw any in the week that we were there in 2017. We have only seen one on all our travels but it was a great moment as it lay on its back on seaweed covered sea, eating shell fish. Anyway, glad you liked it.
