A breath of fresh air!

A breath of fresh air!
Here at the eastern tip of Ennerdale water we witness the south east wooded slopes towards the peaks of Pillar and Steeple. Pretty wet underfoot as we make our way around the entire lake in a clockwise direction.
Enjoy full screen.

Thanks Rainer. A most beautiful area indeed and as you say, such great chances of seeing layers like this.

You know Rosa, that we seldom have your prolong bouts of beautiful weather up here but in some ways, my landscapes show that there is something wonderful about seeing our landscapes in this weather too. To capture the grey skies and cloud like this certainly demands special attention :) Very happy, of course that you approved.

Moody damp, cloudy weather has some compensations Keith. I liked the layering of the tree colours too, reaching to the fell tops. Great that you came along here (in a manner of speaking).

Another fine shot, Herb!
Just thinking ... à propos of nothing much ... would it have been drier if you'd gone round anti-clockwise?

The spring colors and diagonal composition are so beautiful here, Herb! Sometimes certain scenes are deceptively "simple". This has both an essentiality to it and a wealth of details that work wonderfully together. Your photographer's eye seems to have an affinity for these "simple wonders" that I really enjoy.
