South Wastwater

South Wastwater
A look at the southern tip of Wastwater here. The great mountains calming down into a more gentle landscape. The stone building is a hikers shelter I think, but it was closed (Covid?). We are on the scree path here but we had to soon turn around as it become less walkable. Our way forward leads us north through the woods on the right up to the lakes much more popular western side.

Enjoy full screen.

Such different views to the previous picture Herb, but just as beautiful. I love the PiP with the sheep poking its head up ;-)) Cheers, Rosa.

A lovely view, Herb. It looks as if there were some strong gusts of wind too. A great PiP of the sheep peering at you.

Ah Gordon, you know me by now, always looking for the different angle on landscapes. This corner is really very nice and probably under developed here. Hope you do get here later this year. We have some more holidays booked but will we get to go -watch this space.

You have found a great viewpoint there Herb...............and what a splendid view. I like the blue sky, the green surroundings and that lovely little brick-build hut. The surface of the water is beautiful with the textures and ripples made by the wind.

The opposite side looks like easier walking though!

I really like the PiP too.........the sheep might have a great view, but it doesn't look to pleased about it. I hope it didn't end up in the water!

Another to wet your appetite Keith. Yes the view from here was very nice indeed and it was fairly windy as the sound on our video testified. The sheep was perfectly OK on its little shelf rest there.

We walked through the woods as my next photos might show.

Keep healthy. Herb

Is this the view the little sheep had? I understand now he wanted to take a closer look - it's just gorgeous.

Yes and even better as it could see down the other end of the lake too. Very happy that you liked it.

Best Wishes, Herb
