I prefer this one, Herb. The foreground is very interesting and the low clouds lend distance and intrigue to the peaks in the background. Wastwater is one of the most beautiful lakes in the lake district.

Nice to see you here again Amelia. Yes, we all have our preferences. If I am honest, I have a slight preference for this one too. Not just because its in mono -which I rather like anyway, but for its p.o.v and conditions. I agree about the Lake's beauty.

Ah, I looked everywhere for this Gordon, having known you had seen it recently but forgot completely that it was still on GE. I found this one in my giant Panoramio photo folder here on my computer where I have 99% of all my Panoramio uploaded photos. Great that you have enjoyed them both -as it should be :)

Some weather conditions and scenery just screams out to be converted into monchrome..........in my opinion this is one of them!

I especially like the hills in the background, the low-flying threatening clouds and the silvery light on the water. Just wonderful..!!
