A good view of the Great Unconformity! The bedding below tilted to the right are Precambrian sedimentary rocks over a billion years old. The black layer visible at the left is basalt of the so-called Cardenas Lavas, with a radiometric age of ~1.2 billion years (if memory serves). The tilted layers are truncated by an erosional surface, and the flat-lying unit with the prominent cliffs immediately above that surface is the Early-Middle Cambrian Tapeats Sandstone, ca. 500 million years old. A little bit of Earth history is missing there ;) The Tapeats is the basal unit in the classic Grand Canyon "layer cake" of flat-lying strata.
Here's a view from the river level ;)

Glad you liked it! The geology in the Canyon isn't cluttered up with green growing things-- ;)
